Date: January 8, 2004 Endorsements Show Clark's Strength In The South
Little Rock - General Clark received endorsements today that highlight his strong appeal in the South and his ability to help Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, across the country. Congressman Martin Frost (D-TX), a leading Democrat on national security policy and fiscal responsibility, announced today that he supports General Clark. Additionally, former Kentucky Attorney General Ben Chandler, who is currently running for Congress in a February special election, endorsed Wes Clark. "Democrats are embracing Wes Clark because he will bring a higher standard of leadership to the White House. Democrats across the South want a Democrat at the top of the ticket that can campaign with them next fall - it is clear that Wes Clark is the only Democrat who can challenge President Bush in the South and across the country," said Clark Campaign National Press Secretary Bill Buck. |
