Date: February 4, 2004 Day 2 of Clark's TN True Values tour takes him to Lebanon, Manchester and the Chattanooga Choo-Choo
General Wes Clark's True Values tour heads to southeast Tennessee tomorrow after a visit to the former campus of Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, where he attended school as a 10th grader. Buoyed by his primary win in Oklahoma and second place wins in New Mexico, North Dakota and Arizona, Clark is continuing his commitment to Tennessee voters with his visits to towns across the state. Today's leg of the tour includes Pancakes and Politics in Memphis, a rally at Murphy Tractor in Jackson, a visit to rural west Tennessee at the Catfish Place in Camden, a meeting with supporters in Clarksville and a rally at Tennessee State University. After the Lebanon event tomorrow, he heads to Manchester and ends the day in Chattanooga with a Conversation with Clark at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo. "General Clark is eager to spend more time talking to Tennessee voters about his plans for true tax reform for families, a sound health care policy, homeland security and jobs," said Will Drake, state director for the Clark Campaign. "General Clark has close ties to this state and has always viewed Tennessee as vital to his campaign," he added.
