We'll Even Send DeLay a Thank-You Note to Let Him Know it Came from You
Today on Meet The Press, when asked about General Clark's criticism of the
Bush Administration's failure to capture Osama bin Laden and his stance on
the war in Iraq, Congressman Tom DeLay replied, "Unfortunately Wesley Clark
must live in a different world."
Indeed, Wes Clark does live in a different world. He lives in a world where
he believes that America should be a respected leader in the global
community, where our military might should be matched by our compassion, and
where our leaders should be held accountable for their actions.
The Republican strategy is clear. DeLay's attack was expected, and more will
come. But by attacking Wes Clark, DeLay and other Republicans accomplish
nothing, ignore the facts and disrespect American voters. Today, and
throughout this holiday season, each of us must take action to defuse the
anger, uncover the lies and present a positive vision for America's future.
We could ask you to flood DeLay's office with emails, calls and letters.
Instead, we're asking you to show our collective strength and effect change
today. Only you can provide the fuel our campaign needs for the New Year, in
New Hampshire and beyond.
Here's what you can do today to respond to Congressman DeLay. Help put an
end to the misinformed, fearful Republican style of rhetoric, and put Wes
Clark in the White House in 2004.
